Just as a brief introduction, my name is Nigel Allerton and I am currently training to return to Driver Training. Initially I will be specialising in the motability market concentrating on helping those learners that require a car adapted in some way.
Adaptations…
The car I choose to teach in will have the following adaptations
- Left foot accelerator
- Hand controls (push to brake, pull to accelerate)
- Steering ball
- Automatic gearbox
Current Vehicle
I currently operate a 2010 Volvo V70 but am looking to change this to a newer vehicle. My preferred favourite at the moment is a Skoda Superb.
Yes, these are large cars but I am of the opinion that a larger car is great to learn in – if you learn in a small car then it can be daunting to then change to a larger vehicle so let’s get that over with just at the start 🙂
